Project Assistant

Judith is a project coordinator under LDRI’S Food & Nutrition Security practice. Judith specializes in Agricultural and Rural Development, holding a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University and a master’s scholarship from the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) under their Collaborative Masters in Agriculture and Applied Economics (CMAAE) program. She has a great passion for sustainable and climate-smart farming practices that can effectively tackle the development challenges of unemployment, poverty, food insecurity, and malnutrition in Africa. 

She is also keen to promote gender equity in agriculture and food security, her research on Gendered Risk Attitudes and Vegetable Commercialization among Smallholder Farmers in Kilifi County has been published in a peer-reviewed international journal, demonstrating her commitment to advancing knowledge and addressing critical challenges. Before joining LDRI, Judith gained valuable experience as an intern at the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries in the Kilifi-North sub-county.

 

During her free time, she loves to travel and plan events.
