LDRI Executive Director joins SDSN TReNDS

LDRI Executive Director, Muchiri Nyaggah

LDRI Executive Director Muchiri Nyaggah has joined the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, Thematic Research Network on Data and Statistics (SDSN TReNDS), as an expert member.

He joins a network of experts from across the global scientific, development, public, and private sector data communities, advocating for the use and availability of data and evidence in development to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 

With more than 20 years of work experience in software development and technology innovation, online strategy for African organizations, and in policy implementation for development data, Muchiri’s work has revolved around the implementation of international initiatives, their impact on local development, and how empowering policy actors and citizens with the right data can result in better development outcomes for all.

As he joins SDSN TReNDS’ team of experts, Muchiri is keen to engage in TReNDS’ work around closing data gaps through sector; interoperability under the Data Reconciliation and Data for Now projects as well as the population, infrastructure, and settlements’ work under the POPGRID collaborative
